Our source, authorship, image, correction and commercial standards—and the limits of research-based product coverage.
A useful explanation shows where a fact came from and why it changes the decision. It also makes clear where the evidence ends.
Sources before recommendations
We prepare a dated evidence record before drafting substantive guides. Manufacturer manuals and specification sheets support exact-model facts; ENERGY STAR records support certified capacity and efficiency; public agencies support general guidance within their remit. A source about one variant does not automatically apply to a similar model.
Drafts receive a separate factual check for numbers, identity, source support and missing qualifications. Research and writing use AI assistance. This process is a documented editorial check, not independent laboratory testing or professional certification.
Research is not hands-on testing
We have not tested the models in the current comparison. We do not invent extraction, energy, noise or reliability measurements. A manufacturer claim remains attributed to the manufacturer. A standardized certification value is not a forecast of home performance.
Missing fields are labeled not verified. Our model references are supporting records, not ranked reviews. We do not publish a best-overall winner without evidence sufficient to justify one, and we do not generate star ratings from a specification list.
Dates, corrections and changes
Dates show when an article or model record was substantively prepared or checked. We do not roll dates forward merely to look current. Source links appear beside images or in their model references. They are labeled manufacturer images because the galleries do not establish whether every asset is photography or a rendering.
The site owner has confirmed permission to use manufacturer content. Images remain the property of their respective owners. Original explanatory diagrams are illustrations, not photographs or evidence of product testing. No AI-generated product images are used in this launch.
Transparent calculations
Each tool explains its inputs, formula or decision rules and limitations. A room-size range is not a building moisture-load assessment. An electricity scenario is not an energy measurement. A local model list is not a complete recall database.
